An SSL certificate is an essentail part of any website in the modern day. It secures your website against attacks and hackers, and makes sure all information passed through the site is safe for both you and the website user. To tell if your website has an SSL certificate, visit the site using the https:// prefix instead of the http:// prefix. the extra s stands for 'secure'
All superfree.host free subdomains automatically have SSL enabled, but you may want to enable SSL on a custom domain you've added. The process for this is very simple.
Visit our partner site, freessl.cfd
Enter your domain name in the first field (without www or http://)
Follow the instructions to add a TXT record to your domain through the control panel
After adding the TXT record, wait at least 2 minutes, then click verify.
Continue through the steps until you recieve 2 text blocks. These are your certificate and private keys. Do not share the private key with anyone.
In your SuperFree control panel, find the SSL section and select 'configure' next to your domain
Paste the certificate and private key into the correct boxes and click 'upload' next to each
Your domain now has SSL enabled! Test it by going to your domain with https://
It may take up to an hour for SSL to fully propogate
